A Skin peel treatment involves applying a chemical solution to the skin which exfoliates the skin to remove the top layer of dead cells, encouraging new cells to grow, revealing softer, smoother skin with a more even skin tone and texture.
Skin Peels are used to treat acne, rosacea, pigmentation or simply to refresh the skin. They are a simple treatment and are usually very comfortable with mild warmth only on the skin. They can be taken as a one off to freshen skin or as a course for better treatment results. At Reform we use the Enerpeel skin peel system.
Enerpeel is a range of chemical skin peels that remodel your skin rather than peel it. This means you can achieve results without the excessive peeling and exfoliation.
More than one is usually recommended for best results but the number will be discussed at your consultation (3-4 is normal) and they are usually spaced 8-12 weeks apart.
What to expect during a peel
The peel takes about 15 minutes and you will feel a slight tingling lasting a few minutes as the skin is then neutralised. The warm skin may be irritated for upto 48 hours and within a few you’re your skin with reveal smoother, fresher more youthful skin. We will recommend sun protection to use during and after the process.
