Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical technique used in aesthetic medicine. The technique consists of carbon dioxide gas administered from a machine with tiny needles that is injected beneath the skin. The functions of carboxytherapy include increasing blood flow to the treated area and increasing collagen formation in the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. This treatment is used to reduce cellulite, stretch marks, dark circles under the eyes and excessive fat in specific areas of the body. It can also be used as part of treatment for wound healing.
Carboxytherapy is a relatively safe and inexpensive procedure with minimal side effects. However, multiple treatments are needed for significant results. Treatment needs to be repeated every three to six months to maintain results.
